The concept of Youth Express Transport (Y.E.T.) originated with the family of a licensed family in-home child care provider in Federal Way, Washington. Like most in-home child care providers, this single operator was unable to address the transportation needs of all the children that were going to and from school and back to her facility. Various school schedules were complicated by the care needs of children ranging in age from six months to eleven years, not to mention her own children's needs.

In response, she tried to accommodate her clients, but it became overwhelming and she found herself out on the road more and more. Many clients and potential clients asked for their child to be transported to various locations. We are all busy parents and like to keep our children active. Youth Express Transport was created to help you get your children to and from the activities that you want for your child.

The service that began as a way to support a single child care has now exceeded the family's abilities to provide. The demand for such a service is great. Eventually, Youth Express Transport plans to extend their services throughout King County.
